Homemade Caprese Salad Pasta
Hey everyone! I have been able to experiment a little more in the kitchen these past few weeks. So, I figured I would share the easiest recipe I've made yet. It's a caprese salad over a bed of angel hair pasta. This Italian salad itself is fun for a warmer day, but I did add pasta to make it a lunch!
Here are the ingredients & simple steps to making it!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of Basil
1 cup of Cherry tomatoes
1 cup of Diced Mozzarella
2 tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar (add more or less to taste)
2 tbsp of Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp of Salt
Pepper to taste
Pepper to taste
Box of angel hair pasta
Mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt combined. |
Directions:
- Start by boiling your pasta according to the box instructions. Let it cook while you start working on the salad.
- Slice cherry tomatoes in half, dice mozzarella up, and chop through your basil. Toss into a bowl.
- Add your salt, balsamic and olive oil into the boil. Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together.
- Strain, season with pepper and plate your pasta. Top off with as much of the salad as you would like.
- Ta-da! That is all for the recipe - if you prefer a light snack, you don't have to include the pasta, pair it with toasted bread or crackers.
Finished Product!
